Say I Love You
Say I love you by the way that you live
Using as your example, Jesus Christ;
Remembering that love is not a feeling
But a genuine sacrifice.
Each day that we live is an invisible camera
Shooting pictures for those left behind.
When their memories replay, as the years roll away,
What image do you think they will find?
It’s right to do good to all men
No matter where in this world we may roam.
But our heavenly Father gets great pleasure
When we start to show love in our homes;
A favorite meal for your spouse or your child,
A card stating your gratitude,
A gentle hug for no reason at all
Or buy ice cream to lift a bad mood.
Saying, “I’m sorry” even if you feel you are right,
Surprise him with tickets to a game,
Take her shopping for a new dress or new shoes,
Play outside with your child in the rain.
If God say to you, you have one month to live,
Taking your family for granted you wouldn’t do.
So, while you have time, why not make up your mind
To make your life say, “I Love You.”
