Love Lives On

(the loss of a Mother)

Heartfelt sadness has come your way

And maybe you feel hope is gone.

Though it’s hard to see, please be assured

That God does care and love lives on.

The grief that you bear seems too heavy

And life as you’ve known it has changed.

Your heart is longing for comfort.

But, all it feels is great pain.

Pour out our heart; cry if you want.

It’s ok to tell God how you feel.

It is this release and the passing of time

That will cause your heart to heal.

God’s gift to your mother was a child like you.

God’s gift to you was she.

Take comfort in what you shared was quite rare.

In a lifetime, this some never see.

A Mother’s love is like no other.

It’s boundaries can never be known.

Although she’s gone from her place on earth.

In you, her Love Lives On.
